Congratulations to Miles who was selected by the Atlanta Track Club to their ALL METRO team!!!!

Miles completes is senior season with a 5th place finish in the 800. Congratulations on a great 4 years!!

Miles goes undefeated for the season and is the STATE CHAMPION in the 1600!!!!!!!

On Day 2, Maria vaults 9'6" , sets a NEW SCHOOL RECORD and places 5th at the State meet!!! Congrats we are proud of you!!!!!

In DAY 1 at the girls State track meet, Alyska qualifies for the finals of the 800!!!

Congratulations to Miles who after four strong years is a Double Champion at the Region meet!!!! Other strong performances are turned in by Elante in the Varsity 300 hurdles and Kevin in the JV 200m, PV and TJ.

Other outstanding performances at the Region meet were turned in by Jasmine in the throws, Sarah in the sprints and jumps and the JV distance runners. YOU LADIES ARE AWESOME:)

The Track and Field banquet will be on Wednesday, May 14...SAVE THE DATE:)

Girls Region will be this Friday and Saturday at Roswell. The bus will depart PHS at 3:00 on Friday for all those who need a ride to the meet.

Miles WINS the mile run and sets a new school record with a time of 4:16.74!! Zac also performs well and runs a PR of 9:52 in the 2 mile. Great job guys, you make Pope PROUD!!

Congratulations to Miles who is the COUNTY Champion in the 1600!!! Jasmine has a great day and finishes 5th in the Shot and 3rd in the Discus with a throw of 107'. Alyska finishes 5th in the 1600, Maria is 4th in PV and Marcie is 6th..........Finals on Monday.........Good luck POPE!!

In the first day of action at the JV County meet POPE has many outstanding performances!!! The 4X800 team of Gerald, Robert, Devon and Alex place 3rd and girls 4X800 of Kelly, Madilyn, Rebecca and Jessica place 2nd............Many qualify for finals tomorrow:) GREAT JOB POPE!!

Practice has begun for all athletes daily from 3:45-5:45 on the track and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:45-7:30 in the weightroom.
ALL winter sport athletes should check in with the track Coaches and we will see you after your season concludes.
